Sharjah 24: As part of the celebration of Emirati Women's Day, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), Dibba Al Hisn Branch, organised, on Wednesday, a lengthy discussion session on women and their achievements and remarkable imprints in the country's development process, with the participation of a group of Emirati innovators in various fields.
The session was witnessed by His Excellency Ahmed bin Yarouf, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Dibba Al Hisn, His Excellency Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Athmni, Director General of the Sharjah Police Sciences Academy, Dr. Khalid Al Handasi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage Branch in Dibba Al Hisn, and a crowd of officials, employees of government departments and the people of the city.
Dr. Barwin Habib moderated the session, with the participation of a group of Emirati women innovators in the fields of justice, media, arts, engineering, and poetry.
Her Excellency Yaqeen Al Hammadi, a judge at the Rental Dispute Centre in Dubai, said in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the session was rich in discussions that shed light on the reality of Emirati women and their pioneering position, which they have deservedly achieved in various fields.
Her Excellency added that the session shed light on a group of distinguished women in various work fields, touching on lessons learned from their experiences.
In her turn, the poet Sheikha Al Mutairi said that the session dealt with inspiring success stories of a number of distinguished women in different fields, stressing that Emirati women have proven their competence in all fields and in various forums.
For her part, the media person, Hessa Al Riyasi, confirmed that the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates has provided, since the founding years, all means of support for women, which enabled them to reach a prestigious position on all political, economic, cultural and social levels.
