The 22nd edition of Sharjah Heritage Days was inaugurated by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, at the Heritage Village in Dibba Al-Hisn. The inauguration was attended by Dr Abdul Aziz Al-Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, along with a gathering of officials and representatives from government institutions and departments.
Abu Bakr Mohammed Al-Kindi emphasised that Dibba Al-Hisn was the final stop for this year's edition, which was themed "Roots." The activities in the Dibba Al-Hisn Heritage Village showcased the region's marine, agricultural, and Bedouin heritage, with various pavilions and significant participation from local government departments and institutions.
The two-day event featured folk arts such as Al-Nadba and Al-Wahhabiya, along with workshops suitable for all ages. Visitors also enjoyed maritime-themed competitions and an integrated corner for culinary arts, showcasing popular foods and traditional crafts.
