Sharjah Heritage Days launch in Dibba Al Hisn

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, confirmed that the new edition of Sharjah Heritage Days has a busy schedule of shows and events in different cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
In the presence of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Kalba, the activities of the 21st edition of Sharjah Heritage Days were launched on Tuesday in the Heritage Village in the city of Dibba Al Hisn.

The opening of the events was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage; His Excellency Ahmed bin Yarouf, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Dibba Al Hisn; Ahmed Sultan Al Dhahouri, Vice-President of the Council; Dr. Khaled Al Hindassi, Director of the Institute’s branch in Dibba Al Hisn; a number of officials and representatives of government agencies, and a large crowd of the public.

Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam said that events will continue in the city of Dibba Al Hisn for two days, praising the distinguished popular participation seen in the events.

His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam added that the days continue in the different cities of Sharjah, starting on Wednesday in the city of Khorfakkan, and Thursday in the city of Kalba, explaining that the slogan of the current edition is “communication,” between generations and cultures.

Al Musallam explained that Jeju Island in South Korea is the guest of honour for the current edition of Sharjah Heritage Days, and this year also saw the participation of several international folk arts organisations from the America, Slovakia, and Montenegro.
