Department of Awqaf raises children’s awareness of role of waqf

Sharjah 24: Emanating from its keenness to raise the level of community awareness about the concept and role of endowment, and its endeavour to instill a love of goodness in young people, the Sharjah Department of Awqaf has organised a workshop titled (Waqf in the eyes of children) in cooperation with Hasad Voluntary Camp (20), at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation.

The three-day workshop, which targeted children from 6 to 12 years old, focused on clarifying the concept of endowment, its forms and how to contribute to it in a simplified manner, demonstrated with entertaining competitions and questions in order to stimulate the spirit of initiative and giving in the hearts of young people.
