Sharjah 24: Mohammed Harmoul Al Ali, Head of Endowment Projects Section at the Sharjah Department of Awqaf, confirmed that the department has distributed 2 million water bottles to the COVID testing centres, since the start of the pandemic, providing assistance and support to testing and vaccination centres.

According to Harmoul, Awqaf is extending the base of beneficiaries through a variety of efforts, including digging and installing wells outside the country, providing ice to workers to make water cool; and providing water for needy families and workers' accommodations.

Donors can contribute to charitable water initiatives using the department's donation platform, SMS messages to the number "2117," and bank transfers, he clarified.
