Maryam Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriya Branch - Director of the Joy of Eid initiative, explained that the initiative aims to bring happiness to the hearts of children and make them rejoice in Eid, like other children. She pointed out that the Eidiya will be according to the children's choices, and we will not distribute gifts to them, but the amount of 300 dirhams will be deposited in the parent's account and the child will choose in turn.
Al Shamsi revealed that the Social Services Department continues to receive contributions through the department's website sssd.shj.ae, the bank account, or through the two companies "Etisalat" and "du".
She thanked all the contributors in succeeding the initiative in order to raise children’s happiness on Eid, praising the community's integration despite the global problems and crises.
For her part, Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Community Cohesion in the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, stated that the initiative was introduced through the department's electronic sites and through text messages.
Al Hammadi praised the role and cooperation of other parties supporting the initiative, such as the Sharjah Charity International and the Sharjah Charity House, which indicates the importance of social solidarity among all groups.
