Sharjah 24: Brigadier General Ahmed Abdulaziz Shuhail, Director of the Punishment and Correctional Institution Department (PCID) in Sharjah, received a delegation from the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), with the aim of enhancing means of cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of axes of common interest in developing services provided to the elderly and disabled inmates of the PCID.
The meeting touched on a number of topics of common interest that aim to improve services provided to the elderly and people with disabilities, including health and awareness services, educational activities, and awareness initiatives for the PCID’s employees assigned to deal with the elderly, and to provide services with efficiency and quality.
Brigadier General Ahmed Abdulaziz Shuhail stressed the keenness of the PCID in Sharjah to provide and develop its services for all its inmates, especially the elderly and people with disabilities, which enhance the quality of life for the institution's inmates.
He noted that this meeting is the beginning of a joint process in developing the system of services provided to the elderly.
