Afaf Ibrahim Al Marri, Head of the SSSD, and Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, signed the agreement.
According to the agreement, the two parties agree to cooperate in the following areas:
1. Strengthening frameworks for exchanging knowledge, expertise, institutional experiences, information, results of studies, and statistics related to the competence of each of the two parties to care for and treat the elderly.
2. Cooperation in organising conferences, workshops and, specialised seminars in a way that contributes to social work and the possibility of its application in serving the elderly.
3. Organising joint projects that support and enhance the emirate's position concerning the community service sector.
4. Achieving mutual benefit through joint work to improve and develop services related to the treatment of the elderly.
The agreement also included the commitments of the two parties to provide dental services to elderly citizens in Sharjah by providing databases, training administrative cadres, following up on cases and their procedures, conducting examinations, and other necessary procedures and services.
