Communication Collage at AQU organizes session on World Radio Day

Sharjah24: In coinciding with the World Radio Day, The College of Communication at Al Qasimia University (AQU) presented a message of love and appreciation to broadcasters all over the world, in the United Arab Emirates and in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The College of Communication at AQU organised a dialogue session hosting Abeer Al-Shawi, Director of Sharjah Radio, and Professor Khalifa Hassan Al-Khalaf, Director of the Holy Quran Radio of Sharjah, and the dialogue was moderated by Prof. Hisham Abbas, Dean of the College.

At the beginning of the session, Director of Sharjah Radio, Abeer Al-Shawi, highlighted the importance of trust in the radio press and reviewed the role of Sharjah Radio in enhancing credibility in news programmes. Al-Shawi provided professional advice to students to raise their capabilities and sharpen their skills in this field. 

For his part, Khalifa Hassan Khalaf addressed the introduction of the Holy Quran Radio, explaining the ethical and professional values that manage the work system at the Sharjah Radio , and reviewed for students some applied radio positions that contributed to exchanging ideas, experiences and Quranic programs. 

The college professors participated in the session by underscoring the great role that Sharjah radios play in community service, explaining that the College of Communication’s celebration of the World Radio Day means recognition of the great services performed by the radio stations, considering Sharjah radio stations as the model in service media based on lofty goals that reflect the identity of the Emirate of Sharjah and its civilized message .

At the end of the session, participants toured television and radio studios and press laboratories at the College of Communication and praised their capabilities and skills in using them.
