Sharjah 24: "Sharjah 24" explores the treasures of the Islamic Manuscripts House (IMH) at Al Qasimia University (AQU), which were gifted to IMH by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and their number exceeds 1,500 manuscripts.
In 11 episodes, shown on Mondays and Thursdays of every week, “Sharjah 24” sheds light on these rare and valuable manuscripts.

“The mother “original” manuscript is the one that the author wrote in his own handwriting, and it acquires its value and rarity for this reason,” stated Professor Saeed Al Madawi, the supervisor of the Islamic Manuscripts House (IMH).

One of such rare manuscripts is known in the Arabic transliteration as the following, “Muntakhab al-aḥkām min ḥadīth Sayyid al-Anām” (vol 2) by ʻUbayd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad, ibn Qūdamāh, al-Maqdisī, al-Ḥanbalī, which the author wrote in 680 AH, only 4 years before his death.

Al Madawi added that the Muslim scholar wrote this manuscript in a Naskh script, on 44 sheets of oriental paper, providing hadith explanations.
