Moza Ali Al-Madhahikah, Director of the Educational Guidance Department at the Ministry of Education in Qatar, Chairman of the Centre’s Board of Trustees in the current session, presided over the meeting, which was also attended by Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Educational Centre for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States.
At the meeting, a set of proposals for the centre’s programmes for the next session (2023–2024) were presented, including the publication of a scientific journal specialised in curricula and methods of teaching the Arabic language, the establishment of an annual International Conference on the Arabic Language, and the implementation of Arabic language competitions.
Al Hammadi went through the proposal for the Centre’s Sixth International Conference on the Arabic Language, which will be held in January 2023, as well as the procedures that have been completed and the timeframe for getting the conference together.
At the meeting's conclusion, the Council extended its gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Education of the sisterly State of Qatar for their keen interest in and efforts to assist in the meeting's convening.
