Sharjah24: In conjunction with International Museums Day, the Sharjah Museums Authority organised an event entitled "The Power of Museums", showing the public how essential museums are.

Mona Ahmed Al Mulla, a scientific pioneer at the Sharjah Science Museum, stated that the authority annually celebrates International Museums Day, which falls on May 18, an approach to inform the public about the services Sharjah museums offer.

She confirmed, in exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", that the authority has made set up in Al Zahia City Center in Sharjah that includes several activities and entertainment shows for the public, including pottery, Arabic calligraphy, and educational and recreational workshops in the Al Zahia Theater and Arts Centre.

Al Mulla added that Sharjah Museums seeks, through "The Power of Museums" event, to highlight the importance of museums as an effective means of cultural exchange between peoples by presenting the museum services and defining the role of museums in Sharjah.
