Sharjah 24: As a culmination of a 10-year march of excellence and achievement, the University Hospital Sharjah (UHS) recently obtained the official accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI) in Health Care Quality for the third time, a step on the path of leadership in providing innovative medical and treatment services according to the highest international quality standards.
The new global recognition comes in honour of the successes achieved over a decade, under the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in providing the best treatment services, using the best medical expertise and the latest advanced technologies.

Commenting on the successive achievements, His Excellency Abdullah Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University Hospital Sharjah (UHS), highlighted that UHS is proud of the march of excellence and leadership that it has led for ten years, providing an integrated portfolio of high-quality health care services in implementation of the vision of the Ruler of Sharjah.

His Excellency added that such efforts are making the Emirate a preferred destination for medical tourism and leading in providing health care according to the highest international standards to serve the community from inside and outside the UAE.

For his part, Dr. Ali Obaid Al Ali, Executive Director and Member of the Board of Trustees of the University Hospital Sharjah (UHS), indicated that the hospital has succeeded over the past ten years in building a strong presence, as a name synonymous with excellence in providing health care services, supported by high medical expertise, advanced technologies and vital facilities. It is currently working at its maximum capacity in various therapeutic, surgical and intensive care specialties.
