EAS concludes with universities’ requirements

Sharjah 24: Lawyer and legal consultant Zayed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal in the UAE, spoke about his experience studying law and encouraged students who are about to join university to choose the specialty that suits their preferences and which will set them apart in their future careers.
This was revealed during a virtual evening session moderated by Ghaith Al Hosani, hosted by the Khorfakkan Library on Tuesday, June 1st, as part of the third version of the Exhibition of Academic Specialisations (EAS).

The event, which included high school students who wished to finish their university studies, was organised by Sharjah Public Libraries in partnership with the Sharjah Book Authority.

Faculty members from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transportation "Sharjah Branch” offered an outline of the Academy, which is annexed to the Arab League. They presented videos of the academy’s headquarters in Alexandria, Egypt, and its Khorfakkan branch.

The speakers commended His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his efforts in establishing the Academy's Sharjah branch and sponsoring it since its inception on March 26, 2018, in addition to the grants His Highness offer to the college’s local students to support national expertise in the maritime industry.

Dr. Mohammed Essam Khader spoke about the conditions for enrolling in the academy branch, which awards Arab and international diplomas and allows graduates to work in a variety of fields relating to navigation and maritime transport.

Maryam Karam, the admissions and registration officer at the University of Sharjah branch in Khorfakkan, in the third final focus, discussed the prerequisites for joining the faculties and specialties offered in the branch. 

With the participation of 13 universities, colleges, and institutes in the UAE, the Exhibition of Academic Specialisations will conclude its virtual sessions tomorrow, Thursday, June 3.
