Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, attended the workshop along with and Dr. Manar Abu Talib, Chair of Research Outreach Department at the University of Sharjah.
The workshop shared information about the technical knowledge and skills learners will acquire in the new Cloud Native Application Architecture Nanodegree programme from Udacity, presented by Brendan Bulmer, Programme Director, and Ahmed Shawky, the technical team leader for the programme in the Middle East from SUSE.
Students in this programme learn to run and manage scalable applications in a cloud native environment using open source tools. Introducing this self-learning programme aims to provide students, and other aspiring technologist’s, with an affordable, efficient and practical skills-based training programme that enables them to grow into high-paying, in-demand careers in the field of technology.
