The purpose of the visit was to conduct benchmark assessments, learn about the centre's best practices, and exchange experiences in the areas of preventive and therapeutic services.
The Director of Dar Al Aman, Fatima Ismail, highlighted that the visit is part of a broader effort to strengthen collaboration among government entities in the country. It also aims to enhance collective endeavours in addressing the issue of drug abuse and fostering community awareness. She emphasised that the visit seeks to contribute to the unified efforts of integrating and empowering individuals in recovery and their families, while also raising awareness across various societal segments about addiction and its preventive measures.
During the meeting, Dar Al Aman employees reviewed the centre's policies and procedures related to addiction treatment and prevention. Their goal was to leverage these insights to enhance the operations of Dar Al-Aman.
The team was welcomed by Abdulrazzaq Ameri, the Executive Director of the centre, and Dr. Abdullah Al Ansari, the Director of Research and Community Awareness, along with other officials. Erada Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation is recognised as one of the largest specialised centres in the United Arab Emirates, offering outpatient clinics and additional facilities.
