The meeting examined the fund’s financial statements and assessed operational performance across its various departments. Members also reviewed key indicators related to efficiency and service delivery.

The board discussed strategic plans and future initiatives aimed at strengthening the efficiency of the social security system and ensuring its long-term sustainability. These efforts align with Sharjah’s wider approach to enhancing social protection systems and improving quality of life and stability for society.

His Ecellency Mohammed Obaid bin Rashid Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Security Fund stated that the fund continues to operate under a strategic vision inspired by the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The vision focuses on providing advanced social protection and improving family and community stability.

He added that the fund is continuing to develop its insurance services and programmes, strengthen financial and insurance sustainability, and enhance services provided to insured members and retirees. The aim is to support the social protection system and meet Sharjah’s aspirations for a stable and dignified life for citizens.

He also noted that the meeting reflects the board’s commitment to monitoring performance indicators and improving institutional efficiency, with ongoing implementation of development initiatives according to best practices.

At the conclusion of the meeting, board members praised the fund’s recent achievements and its continued efforts to improve services for insured individuals and retirees, supporting citizens’ welfare and safeguarding insurance rights.
