Sharjah Club wins UAE Karate Federation Cup

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Club continued its dominance in karate, winning the UAE Karate Federation Cup (Team Kumite) for the sixth consecutive time. The championship, hosted by the Sharjah Club Hall in Al Hazana, featured 168 male and female athletes representing nine clubs from across the UAE.

Championship shield for the fifth consecutive time

The karate champions also secured the overall championship shield for the male category (men, youth, juniors, and cadets) for the fifth consecutive time, reaffirming their dominance on the local scene and their continued presence at the forefront of the sport. This victory comes after an exceptional season filled with successes and fierce competition among the participating clubs.

The karate team added another achievement to its impressive record, securing first place in the newly established youth and junior categories. Sharjah's players delivered outstanding technical skills and powerful performances, leading them to deservedly claim the podium.

The club's technical management demonstrated its high level of competence by successfully leading the team to victory in all available cups for the men's category during the season, earning the coaching staff the first-place shield for the fifth consecutive time.

Fruit of integrated work and a clear strategic plan

For his part, Engineer Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, member of the Sharjah Sports Club's Board of Directors and Head of Individual Sports, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous support of sports and athletes and for providing all the necessary resources for the club's members to succeed.

Al Hajri praised the outstanding results achieved by the karate team, emphasising that these achievements were the fruit of integrated work and a clear strategic plan. He pointed out that sound planning, a gradual approach to player development, and attention to technical and administrative details were key factors in achieving this excellence.

The Head of Individual Sports thanked the players and the technical and administrative staff for their tremendous efforts, affirming the club's commitment to continuing its work to maintain its leading position and achieve even greater accomplishments in the future.
