Created to encourage student innovation and promote cultural and academic exchange, the forum offered a lively platform for showcasing pioneering research and creative projects. Out of 172 submissions, only 60 research papers were chosen for presentation, demonstrating the highest standards of innovation and scholarship from the Arab world.
Among the selected participants, Lamyaa Ahmed Al Kendi from the College of Communication at the University of Sharjah presented her research titled “The Role of Graphic Design in Enriching the Learning Process in the Age of Digital Transformation.” Supervised by Dr Noora Ahmed Alghooti, her paper was shortlisted for the final judging sessions, emphasising the University’s excellence in promoting creativity and research-led learning.
“Participating in this regional platform demonstrates our students’ ability to connect creativity with technology,” said Dr Alghooti, praising Al Kendi’s achievement as “a proud reflection of the University’s commitment to cultivating innovation and empowering student voices.”
Several faculty members from the University of Sharjah also contributed to the event’s success by serving on both scientific and artistic judging panels. Professor Hani Ahmed Omar and Dr Sami Suleiman Al Qatawneh joined expert juries from across the Arab world in assessing student research, applying strict academic and creative standards to recognise outstanding contributions.
Their involvement strengthened UOS’s leadership position within the regional academic community and underscored its commitment to fostering collaborative excellence in education and innovation.
During the closing ceremony, Lamyaa Ahmed Al Kendi and Dr Noora Ahmed Alghooti received special recognition for their outstanding participation and mentorship in encouraging student creativity. The awards were presented by Professor Fawaz Al Zghoul, Director of the Arab Council for Training and Student Creativity, and Professor Saleh Al Azri, Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Nizwa.
The University of Sharjah’s achievements at the forum highlighted its ongoing commitment to empowering young people, promoting innovation, and enhancing the region’s academic standards through active participation and international collaboration.
