Sharjah24: University of Kalba has achieved a new academic milestone by obtaining accreditation from the Commission for Academic Accreditation at the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for five new academic programmes, which will be offered from the first semester (Fall) of the 2026/2027 academic year. The move forms part of the university's strategic plan to advance higher education and provide specialised programmes that meet future needs and labour market demands.
The accredited programmes include a Bachelor of Science in Sports Rehabilitation; a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with specialisations in Machine Learning and Data Analytics; a Bachelor of Science in Sports Nutrition and Wellness; a Bachelor of Science in Esports and Interactive Technology, with specialisations in Digital Media and Esports, and Esports Game Design; and a Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, offering tracks in Physical Education and Sports Coaching and Management.
These programmes embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the University, to build a leading educational ecosystem founded on innovation and excellence that keeps pace with rapid developments across sectors while preparing qualified national talent with the knowledge and skills needed to compete in local, regional and global labour markets.
The university affirmed that the new programmes have been designed in line with the highest international academic standards and the UAE's priorities in artificial intelligence, sports, health and digital technologies, enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and supporting sustainable development.
