This year's participation continues the university's active annual presence at the fair, where it highlights its academic standing and its role in serving knowledge and education. It also provides visitors and researchers with the opportunity to explore its publications, which cover the fields of Islamic studies, Arabic language, educational and media studies, as well as specialised academic publications representing the intellectual output of its faculty members. The university's total academic and professional publications reached 66 by 2025.
Academics works
This year's university publications include a collection of academic works addressing contemporary issues in thought, economics, and education. Among the most prominent are the book "Funds Held by Islamic Banking Institutions in the United Arab Emirates: An Analytical Sharia Study," published in collaboration with the Sharjah Centre for Islamic Economics, and the book "Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods (Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation, and Settlement)." In 2025, the university also published the proceedings of its international conferences, which have solidified its global academic presence. These include conferences on "Content Creation: Between Corporate Media and Social Media," "Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers," "Quranic Readings: Between a Glorious Past and Contemporary Reality," and "Investing in Gold."*
Arabic to non-native speakers
As part of its commitment to Arabic language education, the university launched the "Al Qasimia University in Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers" series, comprising seven books designed to develop the skills of learners from around the world through educational texts that are both contemporary and culturally sensitive to the UAE. The university also continues to publish its prestigious peer-reviewed academic journals, with two new issues released each of the Al Qasimia University Journal of Sharia Sciences, the Journal of Islamic Economics, and the Journal of Arabic Language and Literature.
Education and knowledge… a bridge to human communication
His Excellency Professor Dr Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, affirmed that the university's participation in SIBF is an important annual event that embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the founder of Al Qasimia University, to make education and knowledge a bridge for human communication. He pointed out that the university, through its participation, seeks to highlight its scholarly contributions to disseminating the values of moderation and tolerance, serving the Arabic language and Sharia sciences, and promoting digital transformation in education and scientific research.
Al Khalaf added that AQU continues to fulfil its academic and humanitarian mission of building a generation of students who possess intellectual awareness and a global perspective open to different cultures. He emphasised that participation in the fair highlights the university's leadership in supporting scientific research and serving the issues of development and knowledge in the UAE and the Arab world.
As part of its participation in the fair, the university is organising two specialised academic seminars. The first, titled “Employing Artificial Intelligence in Developing Educational Books: Al Qasimia University’s Series for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers as a Model,” will be held on Saturday, November 15, and the second, titled “Automating Scientific Publishing at Al Qasimia University,” will be held on Friday, November 16, both at 7:30 PM.
