The series, comprising seven volumes, aims to cater to student needs by providing comprehensive educational texts that integrate contemporary cultural developments while considering the cultural specificity of the United Arab Emirates.
This initiative aligns with Al Qasimia University’s vision and educational policies, which aspire to promote and educate on the Arabic language among students across various fields. Additionally, it embodies the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who emphasizes the significance of Arabic language education and the need for students from diverse countries to master it effectively, particularly in the context of ongoing technological and linguistic developments.
Authored by faculty members of the university's Language Center, this series aims to meet the educational needs of students representing over 127 nationalities, facilitating an intensive understanding of Arabic language rules. It seeks to enhance their linguistic capabilities through the application of modern concepts, strategies, and fundamental theories in the teaching of Arabic to non-native speakers.
During the seminar, which was moderated by Ms. Maryam Saeed Al Hamoudi, a lecturer at the center, Dr. Mohammed Al Sahsah, Director of the Language Center, presented the significance of the series. He highlighted its design to address student needs while considering the cultural specificity of the region, with the objective of achieving high-quality Arabic language instruction. The series encourages interactive learning and adapts to contemporary digital technologies, thereby simplifying the process of acquiring the Arabic language.
Furthermore, Dr. Mohammed Al Thawabi, a lecturer at the Language Center, remarked that this series signifies a transformative approach to Arabic language instruction and the development of student skills.
