Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Club has once again proven its dominance by winning the men's title at the 9th UAE-Korea Friendship Taekwondo Championship. This exciting event took place in the gymnasium of Sharjah Sports Club in Al Hazana, featuring 210 athletes from 11 different clubs across the UAE.

With this victory, Sharjah has claimed the championship title for the seventh time in a row, adding to their impressive history of six previous wins. The team had an outstanding performance, walking away with a total of 11 medals: 7 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze. In the youth category, they also performed well, securing third place with 7 medals.

The atmosphere during the championship was filled with excitement as athletes showcased their skills. The Sharjah team clearly stood out, confirming their strength and winning the coveted title.

The event also included an impressive display by the Korean Taekwondo Skills Team, which captivated the audience with their extraordinary techniques and abilities.

Engineer Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, a member of the sports club’s board, expressed his pride in the team, stating, “Congratulations to the Taekwondo team on this championship. They always strive for excellence and achieve success. We are proud of our champion players and the dedicated support staff, led by national coach Abdullah Hatem.”

He added that winning the seventh consecutive title is a testament to the hard work and talent of the team, which consistently delivers impressive results both in local and international competitions, especially in this challenging championship featuring the best players in the country.

The event was attended by various notable figures, including Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the UAE Karate Federation, and members of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, along with guests from the Korean Embassy, who helped present the awards to the winners.
