Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Women's Sports Club's archery team continued its brilliance in the new season's competitions, after its players made a remarkable presence in the first stage of the UAE Archery League for Girls and Juniors. The event was held on October 25 and 26, 2025, at the Sharjah Police Officers Club, with wide participation from clubs and academies from across the UAE.

Shining in the individual competition

In the junior archery category, Shamma Al Kaabi deservedly won the gold medal. In the junior girls' compound bow category, club players Massa Aldrous and Maha Thamer Al Shamsi excelled, winning silver and bronze medals, respectively.

In the junior girls' concave bow category, the club's players once again asserted their dominance, with Salama Al Ali winning gold and Elma Sejri taking bronze.

Remarkable team excellence

In the team competition, the junior girls' concave bow team excelled and deservedly won the gold medal, thanks to the harmonious performance of Alia Al Shara, Salama Al Ali, and Elma Sejri, confirming the depth of the club's technical base.

In the junior girls' compound bow category, the team continued its brilliance, winning the silver medal, with Maha Al Shamsi, Alia Al Alili, and Massa Aldrous participating in a collective performance that reflected the team's cohesion and training discipline.

Under-10 competitions

The second day of the tournament featured special competitions for children, with eight players from three clubs participating.

Sharjah Women's Sports Club player Sheikha Abdullah Shaloh excelled with her outstanding performance, winning the silver medal in the Under-10 Concave category, embodying a promising future for the team.

In this context, Zakhar Tagayeva, archery coach at Sharjah Women's Sports Club, emphasised that the players' performances in the first phase of the tournament reflect their commitment and technical development, especially in the younger age groups, who are now competing with confidence and discipline. She added that the technical staff is constantly working to consolidate basic skills and hone performance through comprehensive training programmes, noting that every participation is an important step in building a strong generation capable of representing the club and the country in a manner befitting their desired ambitions.

Continued support and an ambitious vision

These results reflect the fruits of the ongoing efforts of Sharjah Women's Sports Club to develop a promising generation of players capable of representing the country in various local and international forums. This distinction builds on the club's previous participation in the first round of the UAE Archery League for women and under-21s, held two weeks ago at the same field. The club won eight colored medals, demonstrating the team's high level of preparedness and its integration across all age groups.
