Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Women's Clubs' taekwondo season concluded successfully at the two-day Union Cup for Misses and Ladies, held on 6 and 7 June 2026 at the Sharjah Individual Sports Club. Sharjah Sports Club for Women took the top cup in both categories and the season's overall excellence shield for women — a clean sweep that rounded off a year of consistent performance across the federation.

Misses' category

Sharjah Sports Club for Women took the Misses' first-place cup after four gold medals from Yumna Yasser Yousuf, Mariam Sayed Ahmed, Taleen Willy and Shaikha Hussein Sharif. Three silvers followed through Hams Ahmed Ibrahim, Marwa Zuhair Mohammed and Shamma Mohammed Yousuf, with bronze going to Jawaher Mohammed Abdul Razzaq and Janna Yousuf Hamid.

Kalba Sports Club for Women had strong showings of their own: Ryan Najeeb and Hind Osama each took gold, Mariam Ismail claimed silver, and Ruqaya Mohammed Al Sharari and Nouran Hamdi earned bronze. Khor Fakkan Sports Club for Women's Dana Khamis Obaid won silver, while Maitha Rashed Ahmed took bronze.

Ladies' category

Sharjah Sports Club for Women wrapped up the Ladies' event just as convincingly, with gold medals for Jawaher Mohammed Abdul Razzaq, Nouray Boyerzalova and Mayson Ihab Tawfiq. Jana Samir Salah and Ranad Saad Miftah took silver, while Rawdha Mohammed Siddiq, Shaikha Ahmed Salem, Fatima Mousa Nasir, Shaikha Hussein Sharif and Rima Saad Miftah shared bronze.

Kalba Sports Club for Women accounted for three golds through Amna Mohamed Alloghani, Yasmine Yasser Al Kindy, and Shaima Mohammed Al Awasia, with Maha Rabie Khamis adding a silver.

Individual awards

The season's best-player award went to Kalba across every category. Ghaneema Al Sharari won the award in the Flowers category, Azza Osama took the Juniors' prize, Hind Osama was named best in the Misses' category, and Amna Mohamed Alloghani claimed the Ladies' honour.

Technical director's verdict

Abdullah Hatem, technical director for taekwondo at the Sharjah Women's Clubs, said the season's final chapter told a clear story about what had been built over twelve months.

"Closing the season with these results crowns a full year of sustained effort. Winning both first-place cups and the overall excellence shield for Sharjah Sports Club for Women reflects the level of development both players and teams have reached.

"The individual awards going to Kalba Sports Club for Women across all categories confirm that the technical work is succeeding across every club in the institution—and show just how wide the pool of players capable of competing at the top has become. More important than the results themselves is what they reveal: continuous progression and a promising generation with everything needed to raise the level of competition in seasons to come."

Taken together, the spread of titles, individual honours, and medals across categories points to a programme that produces athletes with real competitive depth—not just a strong showing at a single tournament, but a development system that is clearly working.
