The races will start from Alhefiyah Lake, pass through Al Hefiyah trails, reach Jebel Al Frish, and return to the lake. Open to all fitness levels, the challenge aims to attract at least 700 participants and features entertainment, camps and children’s activities. The course offers scenic mountain and lake views, making it ideal for outdoor sports and camping enthusiasts.
The first day (1 November) includes 2.5 km, 4 km and 9 km races, while the second day (2 November) hosts the “Last 1 Standing” endurance race, lasting 6 to 24 hours. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the Emirati, men’s, women’s and open categories, with all participants receiving commemorative medals.
Bukhit Saeed Al Qurs, Director of Sports and Community Events at the Council, confirmed that logistical and organisational preparations are progressing smoothly for this first-of-its-kind event in Sharjah, which blends sports and community engagement. Several public and private entities are supporting the challenge.
