SSC strengthens cooperation with UAE Athletics Federation

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), welcomed His Excellency Major General Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al Murr, President of the UAE Athletics Federation, at his office at the Council headquarters.

His Excellency Abdulmalik Jani, Vice Chairman of the Council, and Dr Yasser Omar Al Dukhi, Director of the Support Services Department attended the meeting.

Discussion of plans and collaboration

During the meeting, the plans and programmes of the Federation for the upcoming phase were reviewed, along with ways to enhance cooperation between both parties to achieve shared objectives and benefit from the Council’s expertise and the Emirate’s outstanding logistical capabilities in the sport.

Support for athletes and future cooperation

The Council Chairman affirmed his support for everything that contributes to improving the performance of athletics players and teams at the Emirate’s clubs, and welcomed collaboration with the Federation to ensure the success of its future plans and programmes.

Appreciation from the Federation

For his part, Al Murr expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, stating that the meeting was productive and that its positive effects will be seen in the areas of cooperation between the two sides.
