Four Sharjah Club athletes to represent UAE at Asian Youth Games

Sharjah24: Four individual sports athletes from Sharjah Sports Club will represent the UAE at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, taking place in Bahrain from 22 to 31 October.

Selected athletes

Leading the club’s representatives is Emirati table tennis talent Ahmed Saeed Al Mosaibi, a multiple international medallist, chosen for the national table tennis team. The UAE Judo Federation selected Sharjah Club’s Saqr Badr Al Otaibi, while taekwondo player Marwan Hassan Al Ali will represent the youth team. In cycling, Arab gold medallist Moathad Al Mashghouni was also picked to join the national squad.

Leadership pride

Engineer Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club and Head of Individual Sports, expressed pride in the selection of several club athletes to represent the UAE in regional and international arenas.

He said, “This achievement is the result of consistent effort, disciplined training, and strong support from the club’s management, which has provided all the conditions necessary for the players’ success and development.”

Honour and responsibility

Al Hajri added, “Representing the nation is a great honour and a significant responsibility. It is a source of pride for everyone associated with the Sharjah Club. We are confident our athletes will continue to perform with dedication and excellence, serving as true ambassadors for the club and the nation.”

He concluded by congratulating the selected athletes and thanking team managers and coaches for their sincere efforts. He also extended his gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Council and the club’s board for their continuous support, wishing the players success in carrying the UAE flag high in all competitions.
