The technical staff selected eight players from Sharjah Club for the UAE national teams in the youth and junior handball categories, in addition to Sharjah and national team administrator, Captain Faisal Dawood. The teams will compete in the Asian Youth Games, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from 22 to 31 October.
The Sharjah players included in the squad are: Masoud Ahmed, Mohammed Saif, Ibrahim Shami, Abdullah Al Obaidly, Abdulrahman Ahmed, Mohammed Hasan, Zayed Ali, and Ali Hussein.
The event draw, featuring 13 national teams, placed the UAE alongside Kuwait, Iran, Kazakhstan, Thailand, and China. The national team will open its campaign, on Sunday, against China.
