40 members take on challenge in 7th "Youth Adventures”

Sharjah 24: As part of its commitment to providing a stimulating environment that combines fun and challenge, Sharjah Youth, an affiliate of the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, organised the seventh edition of the "Youth Adventures” Programme as part of the Life Skills Track. Held over three consecutive days, the programme targeted 40 youth members from its eight centres across the Emirate of Sharjah.

The programme embodied Sharjah Youth's efforts to prepare a generation capable of facing future challenges with awareness and wisdom, by employing adventure activities as a professional approach to building a balanced personality for its members, aged 13 to 18, and refining and developing their personal and leadership skills.

Leadership skills

The programme focused on equipping participants with a set of leadership skills, enhancing cooperation and teamwork spirit, and instiling in them integrated educational and behavioural values, ranging from taking responsibility, commitment, respect for time, acceptance of others, initiative, and effective communication.

Exciting adventures

Participants had an exceptional experience, held in an energetic and lively atmosphere. They enjoyed a variety of exciting adventures, which positively impacted their personalities and contributed to motivating them to accept challenges, moving beyond fear and confusion to self-confidence and the ability to formulate and express ideas. These adventures included rope climbing, kayaking, a maze adventure, and archery.

Participants also had a great time enjoying swimming, various water sports, and beach games, all conducted in a safe environment under the supervision of a qualified team of Sharjah Youth coaches.

Unforgettable experience

Hassan Masoud Al Junaidi, a member of the Wasit Youth Centre, expressed his happiness at participating in this programme, saying, that his participation in the programme was an unforgettable experience, whereas he learned how to face fear and overcome challenges with confidence, as well as how to achieve success through teamwork. He also learned from the various adventure activities that leadership begins with taking risks, persevering in success, and never giving up.

The seventh edition of the Youth Adventures Programme reflects Sharjah Youth commitment to providing an interactive learning environment that combines learning and adventure, leveraging life experiences to develop participants' personal and leadership skills. This reflects the Foundation's efforts to optimally invest in the energies of young people and empower them to face the challenges of the future.
