Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Children, an affiliate of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, has begun an advanced culinary training curriculum for 30 boys and girls who have successfully completed the first level of the course. The initiative is part of the its ongoing efforts to help children improve their abilities, refine their personalities, and boost their self-esteem.

The programme, held in the Rubu' Qarn Life Skills Centre, aims to teach participants how to master basic cooking skills such as grilling, baking, and preparing appetisers and light entrees. It also introduces them to more sophisticated culinary techniques, allowing them to develop and execute professional recipes in a safe and healthy manner.

The programme focuses on teaching children how to cook balanced, healthy meals on their own, encouraging them to utilise fresh foods and comprehend the nutritional value of each component, so increasing their nutritional awareness. It also includes courses on using local ingredients, cooking entire meals, learning the correct food preservation and storage methods, improving organisational and collaboration skills, and encouraging creativity in dish presentation and garnishing.

The Sharjah Children reiterated its commitment to encouraging youngsters to use Sharjah-produced items, such as wheat, milk, and yoghurt, in support of national programmes, as well as strengthening younger generations' connections to their community's resources.

The training programme also provides participants with practical tasks that allow them to use what they have been taught, demonstrate their creativity, and get an inspirational experience in the world of food, boosting their confidence in their capacity to invent and create. This effort embodies the its vision of developing and empowering conscious, competent, and impactful generations.
