Sharjah 24: Captain Sarah Al Zarouni, Director of the Innovators Care Branch at Sharjah Police General Command, announced the launch of the "Smart Watch Project" during GITEX Global 2025. The announcement took place in the presence of Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, at the Sharjah Government Pavilion.

A qualitative shift in recovery support

Captain Al Zarouni told “Sharjah 24” that the project marks a qualitative shift in supporting the recovery journey of patients. The smart watch allows real-time monitoring of vital signs and connects recovering individuals directly with healthcare and social care providers to ensure continuous care and support.

Early intervention and integration with healthcare

She explained that the project operates using proactive systems designed to enable early intervention and ongoing support. The initiative represents a model of effective integration between the security and health sectors, enhancing community safety and promoting sustainable recovery. It also aims to help integrate recovering patients into society, while preserving their privacy and upholding their dignity.
