Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has officially launched a new set of Domestic Worker Services on the Work Bundle platform. This initiative is in collaboration with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security; Emirates Health Services; Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority; and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.

Supporting the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme

The launch aligns with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to streamline government processes, enhance the customer experience, and strengthen the country's global competitiveness as a hub for living and working. This step is a significant move toward simplifying services and increasing efficiency across the UAE government.

Integrated services for domestic worker visa processes

The new services include issuing, renewing, and cancelling residency visas for domestic workers, alongside facilitating medical examination procedures. All services are available through the Work Bundle’s unified digital platform, Work in UAE (workinuae.ae).

Customers can complete residency procedures by filling in a standardised form and uploading identification documents and a passport copy. The system allows for electronic signing of employment contracts, medical test scheduling and results delivery, Emirates ID issuance, and visa processing—all in one streamlined journey.

Reinforcing digital integration and inter-governmental cooperation

Khalil Ibrahim Khoori, Undersecretary of Labour Market and Emiratisation Operations at MoHRE, praised the inter-agency collaboration that led to expanding the Work Bundle platform to include domestic worker services. He highlighted the initiative’s alignment with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the UAE’s ambition to become a global leader in integrated, AI-powered digital government services.

Khoori pointed to earlier successes, including the implementation of similar services via the ‘Invest in Dubai’ platform and the DubaiNow portal, as key milestones toward this goal.

Enhancing government efficiency through unified service channels

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security, emphasized the strategic importance of the Work Bundle as a model of inter-governmental integration. He said the initiative simplifies the customer journey, reduces service delivery costs, and improves quality of life by cutting down the time and steps required to complete transactions.

Al Khaili added that this integrated approach helps both the public and the government. Customers benefit from time savings and increased satisfaction, while government agencies reduce operational burdens and focus on more impactful services.

A single digital platform for streamlined user experience

The Work Bundle platform offers a unified application form and payment system, shared among all participating entities. Customers only need to enter their information once, eliminating the need for physical visits or multiple document submissions. This is made possible through advanced digital integration using the UAE PASS system and the Government Services Bus (GSB), which ensure secure and efficient data exchange between entities.

The new service expansion supports a large and growing user base in the UAE, providing residents and citizens with seamless, transparent, and efficient ways to manage domestic worker-related services—reflecting the country’s ongoing digital transformation and commitment to customer-centric governance.
