Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, held separate meetings today with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, and Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq.

Meetings held on sidelines of Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit

The meetings took place on the sidelines of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt, which gathered international leaders to discuss efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

Strengthening bilateral ties with Türkiye and Iraq

During the discussions, His Highness reviewed the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and both Türkiye and Iraq, focusing on cooperation and joint initiatives that serve the mutual interests of the respective countries.

Emphasis on regional peace and Gaza ceasefire efforts

The talks also covered the importance of the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit in reinforcing global efforts to uphold the ceasefire in Gaza, promote peace, and enhance regional stability. Broader regional and international issues of shared concern were also discussed.

Attendance by senior UAE officials

The meetings were attended by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, along with several members of the UAE’s accompanying delegation.
