Sharjah 24: The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Social Security Fund convened on Wednesday morning, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, with the participation of board members.

Business developments and service improvements discussed

During the session, the Board reviewed updates on the Fund’s business operations and received a report from senior management. Discussions focused on development plans and programmes designed to enhance service efficiency and streamline procedures that support the Emirate’s social security system.

Investment performance and financial sustainability

A detailed presentation was given on the outcomes of the Fund’s investment plans, including performance indicators and their role in strengthening financial resource management and sustainability. These efforts are part of the Fund’s strategy to maintain a balanced financial approach that supports insurance and service programmes for beneficiaries.

Focus on retiree support and quality of life

The Board also explored initiatives aimed at improving services for retirees, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The goal is to enhance quality of life and promote social stability across the emirate.

The meeting reflects the Fund’s continued commitment to evolving its systems, strengthening operational readiness, and meeting strategic goals. Attendees included board members: His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi; Her Excellency Maryam Majid Al Shamsi; His Excellency Walid Ibrahim Al Sayegh; His Excellency Ali Hussain Khalifa Al Mazroui; His Excellency Mohammed Obaid bin Rashid Al Shamsi; and His Excellency Dr Issa Saif bin Handhal.
