Sharjah Police hosts trainees in criminal investigation course

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police General Command welcomed 21 participants from the Forensic Evidence and Criminology Department's foundational course in investigation and criminal research. The course is designed to review best practices in handling forensic evidence and to enhance understanding of the role of forensic laboratories in processing such evidence.

Practical briefings on fieldwork and laboratory functions

During the visit, participants received briefings on the field responsibilities of various forensic departments and laboratories. They also explored the critical security functions of the forensic laboratory and its technical branches. The trainees learned how forensic evidence is handled in each specialised laboratory and were introduced to the methodologies currently used by experienced specialists.

Supporting skill development and knowledge exchange

This visit is part of a broader initiative aimed at promoting the exchange of expertise between police and security forces. It also focuses on developing the skills of national cadres in the field of criminal investigation, ultimately enhancing the efficiency of security operations and reinforcing principles of justice and quality of life within society.
