Colonel Dr Sameh Al Halyan, Director of the Strategy and Institutional Excellence Department, said the certification represents a significant step in Sharjah Police's development journey. He described it as evidence of the force's commitment to adopting global best practices and building a governance structure grounded in efficiency, transparency and accountability.
According to Al Halyan, the framework supports faster, more informed decision-making, sharpens clarity around roles and responsibilities, and strengthens the mechanisms used to monitor and evaluate institutional performance.
The certification caps years of work embedding governance principles across Sharjah Police's operational and administrative functions. Rather than a standalone achievement, officials frame it as the outcome of a sustained push to formalise decision-making processes and improve oversight across departments.
That groundwork, Al Halyan noted, feeds directly into the force's strategic objectives — helping Sharjah Police stay responsive to evolving requirements and better prepared for future challenges.
Al Halyan added that Sharjah Police is continuing to develop its institutional systems, with a particular focus on improving risk and resource management. Artificial intelligence and other modern technologies are being folded into this work, he said, within governance frameworks designed to keep their use responsible and effective.
The approach, he added, is intended to build a more efficient, flexible and sustainable working environment — one that aligns with the ambitions of the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE's broader future direction.
