Sharjah 24: Sharjah Media City (Shams) concluded its distinguished participation in the 14th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), held on September 10-11 at Expo Centre Sharjah under the theme "Communication for Quality of Life."

Shams panel discussions were a prominent highlight on the forum's agenda, attracting the attention of media professionals, content creators, and youth.

"Shams Discussions" featured a series of inspiring discussions addressing the future of digital media and content creation. Speakers shared their experiences and success stories, offering innovative insights on building a sustainable digital identity and the role of youth in shaping the new media landscape.

Media content in seconds

Abdullah Al Sharhan, Director of Creative Services at Shams, opened the first discussion with a session titled "Media Content in Seconds." He discussed the importance of employing artificial intelligence technologies in media content creation, explaining how these technologies can accelerate the production process and provide innovative solutions that help content creators deliver their messages more effectively and in record time.

What do young people want?

In a session titled "What Do Young People Want?", Marwan Al Shehhi and Mohammed Al Mannai participated, moderated by Abdullah Al Mazmi, Director of Advertising and Promotion at Sharjah Media City (Shams). The session discussed the aspirations of the new generation in content creation and how to meet their needs to enhance their influential media presence.

How can we make content creation sustainable?

Content creator Shihab Al Hashemi presented practical insights in his session, "How Can We Make Content Creation Sustainable?”, which help content creators achieve continuity and long-term impact, regardless of the rapid consumption of digital content. Tariq Ghanem, programme producer and artistic content creator at Blinks, highlighted the secrets of trending topics and the mechanisms for their spread in the digital space in his session, "How to Create Trends?" held in collaboration with Blinks.

How to create content that moves hearts before minds?

Media personality and content creator Shahad Al Abdouli, in her session, "How to Create Content That Moves Hearts Before Minds," presented her vision for creating humane content capable of creating a profound emotional impact that transcends superficial messages.

Simple beginnings create big stories

Content creator Hafsa Mahyou presented a session titled "Simple Beginnings Create Big Stories," during which she explored how humble first steps can transform into inspiring success stories in the world of digital media.

Telling stories that change societies

In a session titled "Telling Stories That Change Societies," content creator Omar Abu Al Rub spoke about the power of storytelling in enhancing community awareness and pushing communities toward positive change.

Generation sustainability: youth creating the green future

The session, "Generation Sustainability: Youth Creating the Green Future," was held in collaboration with the Sharjah Youth Council. Dr Maryam Bin Hadda, Chairperson of the Council, and Dr Saud Mohammed Bayat, Vice President, and moderated by media personality Ayoub Al Badri, one of the creators of the Influencers Room, discussed the pivotal role of youth in leading the shift toward sustainability and shaping a more conscious and responsible environmental future.

Content creation narratives

Screenwriter Mohammed Hassan Ahmed also spoke in the "Content Creation Narratives" session about the role of media creativity in raising awareness of vital issues such as food security and transforming them into stories that effectively reach audiences.

Passion creates a message... and an impact that inspires life

Discussions concluded with a session by content creator Fatima Al Balushi, a member of the Influencers Room, titled "Passion Creates a Message... and an Impact that Inspires Life," which highlighted how passion can be the starting point for crafting impactful media messages that leave a true human impact.

His Excellency Rashid Abdullah Al Obaid, Director General of Sharjah Media City (Shams), said that Shams Discussions provided a rich space for exchanging experiences and highlighting the energy and creativity of young people in content creation. This aligns with Shams vision of empowering new generations and enhancing their role in developing the media landscape. Shams reaffirms its commitment to continuing to support these initiatives, which open new horizons for creativity and reinforce Sharjah's position as a beacon of media and knowledge.

At the conclusion of Shams participation, it extends its sincere thanks to all the speakers and participants who contributed to the success of the discussions, as well as to the audience who interacted and enriched the discussions with their presence and contributions.

Shams Talks

As part of the Shams platform, the podcast room project launched by Sharjah Media City was presented, along with the interactive podcast "Shams Talks," with the aim of enhancing communication in the media field.

The podcast highlights the most prominent media and economic challenges, and includes interviews with officials and representatives of government agencies, experts, and prominent figures in the fields of media, economics, and government communication. It serves as a bridge through which Sharjah Media City can transfer knowledge and expertise to the community, with a focus on entrepreneurship in the audio content industry and empowering emerging talent.
