He noted in a statement to Sharjah 24 that the Authority’s first-ever participation in IGCF reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to strengthen ties between fishermen and the cooperative societies across the emirate.
Abu Ghazin added that this year’s IGCF theme, “Communication for Quality of Life”, mirrors the Authority’s mission to convey the aspirations of society and government institutions to decision-makers in pursuit of a better life and community progress.
He further stressed the importance of the specialised workshops held during the forum, which were designed to serve fishermen registered with the Authority. These fishermen play a central role in protecting fish stocks and reinforcing the UAE’s food security.
The 14th edition of the IGCF, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, features a two-day programme of sessions, workshops, and lectures covering key topics such as food security, public health, sustainability, education, and the green economy.
