Races saw spirited competition, with Ma’ani, owned by Nuh Muslim Nafil Al Kathiri, taking first place in the opener with the day’s fastest time of 2:50.39.
Several other well-known stables celebrated victories across subsequent rounds, reflecting the depth of talent and quality of preparation for the season ahead. Abdullah Mohammed bin Muadhid bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of Sharjah Camel Racing Club, emphasised the cultural significance of the President’s Cup Tag, describing it as a cornerstone of camel racing heritage and a vital platform for preserving authentic traditions while showcasing the sport’s enduring appeal.
The opening weekend continues with “Laqaya” (3-year-old) races on Saturday and “Iydhaa” (5-year-old) races on the third day, before moving into weekly programmes that cover all categories.
