His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, crowned Dusan Rajovic from the Italian Tec team as the champion of the stage. The crowning ceremony was preceded by musical performances, children's dances, and karate displays among the accompanying events.
The launch and closing ceremony were attended by His Excellency Abdul Malik Mohammed Jani, Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Tour; His Excellency Mohammed bin Darwish, Executive Director of the National Olympic Committee; and members of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Council: His Excellency Khalifa Al Jari, His Excellency Engineer Adel Saleh Al Hammadi, His Excellency Ayman Ali, Chairman of the Egyptian Cycling Federation; His Excellency Salem bin Huwaiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club; His Excellency Musabah Al Ketbi, Director of Mleiha Municipality; Dr Yasser Omar Al Dukhi, Director of the Tour;Salem Al Shehhi, Representative of the Arab Cycling Federation; Hamad Al Mahmoud, Representative of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Dr Noura Al Tunaiji, Representative of University of Al Dhaid; Khalid Al Hammadi, Representative of Sharjah Sports Channel; Ahmed Saif, Director of the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum, and a number of officials and representatives of the supporting and sponsoring entities.
Dusan Rajovic took first place and won the gold medal, with Hamza Yassin from the Dubai Police team claiming the silver and David Perescu from the Belgian Wagner team earning the bronze.
The tour will resume with the third stage "Science and Culture" on Sunday, January 26, starting at 11 am for a distance of 11.16 km, starting and ending in front of the American University in the University City of Sharjah. On the sidelines of the stage, there will be an accompanying race for the disabled “against the clock” for wheelchair boys “H” and special bicycles “C”, as well as another race for young people, both starting at 9 am.
