Heikal noted that government communication has become an essential tool in confronting crises, stating that the quicker and more accurately messages are delivered—based on verified data—the less confusion arises and the fewer rumors circulate. He stressed that reliable communication significantly contributes to public stability during challenging times.
Speaking to Sharjah 24, Heikal highlighted three core pillars for maintaining quality of life and ensuring unified government messaging during crises: the accuracy of the information, the credibility of the source, and the speed with which the information is processed and shared. He added that transparency, including clearly stating when information is not yet available, is key to preventing the spread of misinformation.
Heikal also underscored the value of the International Government Communication Forum as a global dialogue platform. He described it as a space that brings together experts from different countries to exchange experiences and insights, ultimately enhancing the impact of government messaging both in times of stability and during crises.
