Al Hamriyah Municipality celebrates Emirati Women's Day

Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipality recently held a special celebration to honor Emirati Women's Day, which is observed every year on August 28th. This year’s theme was "Hand in Hand... Celebrating the 50th." The municipality organized a memorable gathering outside of regular work hours for all its female employees from different departments.

During the event, held this morning, Al Hamriyah Municipality presented thoughtful gifts to all its female staff members as a way to express their deep gratitude for their hard work and commitment to serving the community.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, the Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, shared that Emirati Women's Day is an important occasion that highlights the pride and appreciation for the accomplishments of women. He emphasized how female employees in the municipality and other local organizations have shown they can work effectively alongside men, playing key roles in growth, development, and shaping the future. He also mentioned that organizing this annual celebration reflects the municipality's appreciation for women's contributions, as they are vital to sustainable development.

Al Shamsi highlighted how the Emirate of Sharjah has made great strides in supporting women, thanks to the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the dedicated efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. Under their leadership, Sharjah has created many opportunities for women to participate in community life and take on leadership roles. This support helps women develop their skills and become important contributors to the promising future of the UAE.
