To share their plans, the club held a press conference yesterday. This upcoming season marks a significant milestone for Sharjah, as the team will represent the UAE for the first time at the Handball World Championship, specifically the 18th edition of the Super Globe Championship. This event will take place in Egypt from September 26 to October 2, featuring nine participating clubs.
Additionally, the Sharjah men's basketball team will take part in the Wasl West Asia Basketball Super Cup, alongside competing in local tournaments.
The press conference saw key figures, including Mohammed Abdullah Burhima from the club's board, national coach Abdul Hamid Ibrahim for basketball, and Brazilian expert Marcus Tata, who is the new handball coach. They were joined by his assistant, Joao Torres, and other club officials.
Both coaches, Abdul Hamid Ibrahim for basketball and Marcus Tata for handball, expressed confidence in their teams' readiness for the season. They acknowledged the strong support from the Sharjah Club management, which has been instrumental in helping meet the teams' needs.
