Sharjah Club welcomes UAE Athletics Federation delegation

Sharjah 24: Engineer Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club and Head of the Individual Games Department, received a delegation from the UAE Athletics Federation at the department’s headquarters in Al Hazana. The delegation was led by His Excellency Major General Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al Mar.

Strengthening sports relations

The visit discussed a number of shared topics between the Federation and the Club, which contribute to enhancing sporting relations, as well as reviewing the plans and objectives the Athletics Federation is set to introduce in the coming phase.

Commitment to supporting national teams

Al Hajri emphasised that Sharjah Sports Club is keen to support the national teams with a select group of distinguished athletes and medal-winners, in line with the vision and aspirations of the wise leadership to raise the UAE flag at international sporting events.

Attending the visit from the Athletics Federation were Nasser bin Ashour, Secretary, and Rashid Nasser Al Ali, Board Member. From the Individual Games Department, attendees included Abdulrahman Al Mlihhi, Board Member, and Ali Hassan Mohammed, Director of the Department.
