Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Capability Development (Tatweer) has launched the training phase of the Masar Initiative, which will be held at the American University of Sharjah from June 23 to 30, 2025.
The programme will target a select group of ambitious Emirati youth within the targeted age group. This phase aims to equip participants with practical and professional skills that will enable them to confidently and efficiently enter the job market, particularly in the private sector.

Preparing to build a career

The programme includes a series of interactive workshops that address career readiness topics, most notably the Career Preparation Workshop, which enables participants to understand CV writing techniques, prepare for job interviews, and build a professional identity, in addition to job search and professional communication skills.

Participants in the Team Building and Bonding Workshop also learn about the concepts of teamwork and the roles of individuals in the workplace, enhancing their ability to integrate and be productive within various organisations.

Developing effective communication skills

As part of developing effective communication skills, participants acquire tools that enhance their ability to express themselves, listen, and interact constructively within work teams through practical exercises that simulate real-life work situations.

The Professional Well-being Workshop also addresses challenges that new employees may face, such as work pressures, time management, and prioritisation.

Achieving professional excellence

Participants meet with a group of young Emiratis working in the private sector to learn about and benefit from their professional experiences. This phase also includes individual mock interviews with human resources specialists, giving each participant the opportunity to showcase their skills in an environment that simulates actual interviews and receive direct feedback to improve performance.

The training is one of the core pillars adopted by Tatweer as part of the Masar programme, which aims to prepare a generation of young talent capable of achieving professional excellence and contributing effectively to the advancement of society, reflecting the state's vision to enhance the status of youth in various vital sectors.
