The initiative reflects a commitment to support and empower young Emirati talent, showcasing their innovative projects in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The award attracted pioneering submissions from Emirati students across three main fields: sustainability and agriculture, transport and mobility, and artificial intelligence and smart systems. Sixteen projects developed at Rubu’ Qarn Science and Technology Centre between August and September 2025 were shortlisted for evaluation by a panel of academic experts. They will also be exhibited to the public during the event.
Visitors to the Future Scientist Award platform in Za’abeel Hall 3 can participate in interactive workshops from September 23 to 25, 2025. These include the Makers’ Lab for electrical circuits and engineering applications, the Discovery Lab for fingerprint analysis and DNA extraction from fruit, and the Technology Lab, which provides advanced programming experiences and insights into artificial intelligence and digital design.
