Sharjah 24: Hanan Al Mahmoud, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Rubu' Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, stated that the book "Laith and Hayla" targets children aged 9 to 12 years old, through adventures the hero encounters that illustrate some of the abilities and skills he possesses, which have helped him in certain circumstances and situations. She noted that the foundation had complete control over all details of the book, including its management, writing, publishing, illustration, and internal production.
Al Mahmoud indicated, in statements to “Sharjah 24,” that the book was the product of an interactive workshop involving a large group of talents in the literary market who were eager to serve this segment. Children were also present during the workshop to ensure interaction, allowing readers to experience additional situations of analysis, interpretation, and critical thinking. She added that it is essential that the Rubu' Qarn in addition to relevant schools and institutions, organize such workshops, as they will enhance the added value of these books for the target audience.
