Sharjah24: The Parents' Council of Dibba Al Hisn, affiliated with the Districts Affairs Department, organised a dialogue session titled “In Our Home, a Gifted Child” to strengthen the role of parents in nurturing student talent and developing creative skills. The event welcomed a distinguished audience of community members, government officials, teachers, and gifted students from local schools.

Early discovery begins at home

The session, held yesterday evening, was led by Saif Ali Al Matoua, a certified trainer in human development and institutional improvement. He discussed the central role families play in identifying talents at an early age, along with the educational, social, and psychological challenges that may arise. The talk also emphasised the importance of effective communication between home and school and creating a supportive, stimulating environment within the household.

Talent needs observation, not tools

Saif Ali Al Matoua noted that discovering talent doesn’t require advanced tools, but rather careful observation of children’s interests. He highlighted the importance of emotional support and continuous encouragement in shaping confident, creative individuals.

Parents applaud the initiative

Parents praised the council for this initiative, noting how such events raise community awareness and reinforce the family’s role in supporting gifted children. They also commended the high level of engagement and attendees’ enthusiasm for developing their children's skills.

Honouring young innovators

In an inspiring gesture, a number of gifted students from Al Khalidiya School (Cycle 2 – Eastern Boys) were honoured for their victories in the WRO SPORT 2025 robotics and AI competitions. Their achievements were celebrated as symbols of innovation and academic excellence.

A Stronger partnership for creative generations

The session concluded with words of appreciation from attendees, who highlighted the importance of such gatherings in fostering cooperation between families and educational institutions, and in building creative, future-ready generations.
