Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police have introduced a new program called the "Excellence License" to reward the top ten high school graduates from public schools in the emirate. This initiative gives these outstanding students free driving licenses, covering everything from the start of the application process to the final license approval. The program is a collaborative effort involving various organizations, including the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, the Ministry of Education, and local driving institutes.

Brigadier Khalid Mohammed Al Kai, who leads the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, explained that the initiative is designed to help exceptional students gain independence and prepare for their future responsibilities in university and professional life. It includes free eye exams, training courses, and examination fees needed to get their driving licenses.

Additionally, there’s another program called "Licenses for the Sons of Giving," aimed at the children of Sharjah Police employees. This program offers a discount of up to 50% on training fees and is available throughout the summer break.

The Director highlighted that both initiatives reflect a strong partnership between government agencies and educational institutions. They aim to promote safe driving habits among young people and encourage a culture of excellence, ensuring that academic achievements are recognized with valuable rewards that can help shape their futures.
